Atlas Star mats consist of three layers: Top layer is made up of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer), TPE are a unique class of engineering material, this material is typically used where flexibility & soft-touch is desired in the application. TPE main characteristics are - excellent flexural fatigue resistance, good tear & abrasion resistance and also excellent resistance to chemicals & weathering. Middle layer is made up of XPE Chemical cross-linked polyethylene (XPE).It is a very safe material, easy to be recycled & has a very good cushioning capability. Bottom layer is made up of very high quality Polyvinyl chloride, commonly abbreviated PVC. It has an anti-skid bottom layer to reduce mat movement, so it is less likely to slip, a principle cause of driver irritation and pedal obstruction. Atlas Star mat comes with a metal foot pad on driver mat to reduce wear and tear. Star car mats are produced using premium quality & environmentally friendly material: non-toxic & odourless.
